It is two-week Trekking, and it lies in the heart of Sherpa Land, Khumbu Region, which starts and ends at Lukla. Lukla is a small town in Everest Region known as the Gateway to Everest. It consists of an airport widely known as Tenzing Hillary Airport. Thousands of trekkers fly to Lukla from Kathmandu for Everest Base Camp Trek.

Everest Base Camp is the most visited trekking destination in Nepal. Is the trail get busy during the peak trekking seasons Autumn and Spring? Many tea houses are on the path, and even luxury travelers can have a world with international accommodations.

Lukla is the trekking starting point of, the trek to Everest Base Camp the star starts following Dudh Koshi river valley leading to Namche Bazaar. Phakding and Monjo are popular places to hike. You will walk around the Namche Bazaar for a couple of days to acclimatize. Syangboche, Thame, Khumjung, and Khunde are a few hours’ walk destinations from Namche, but you can still enjoy your day hike around there.

Trekking with a Company 

Join a group trek if you are not confident about walking alone or are a first-time trekker in Nepal. Consider a package trekking so that you do need not to worry about food, accommodation, guides, and porters. There are hundreds of responsible trekking companies in Kathmandu who will assist you in planning the trek.

Best time of year

For the successful trek to Everest Base camp, travel to Nepal in Autumn and Spring. March to May and September to November are the best months for the Everest Base Camp trek. You will have an enjoyable trekking experience during this time.
